Isabelle, 29 years old, has been working for a few months in a large pharmaceutical company. She worked there for several months as an external consultant.

When she was identified as having potential, this pharmaceutical company offered her a management position for a team of 3 people.


Isabelle’s difficulty lies in the fact that she has never managed a team before. During the last 5 years of professional life she worked on her own, in an autonomous way, mentored by the “partners” of the consulting firm. She has made and conducted presentations, facilitated working groups. However, she has acquired very little knowledge of management skills.

To add to the difficulty, Isabelle is of a rather reserved nature and says she has little confidence in herself. She finds it difficult to imagine managing a team, however small, alone. She fears that she will have little influence on her team.

With “Becoming Leader”, we accompany Isabelle to help her take up her new challenge with confidence.

Isabelle needs to develop her leadership skills and learn how to use effective team management tools.

  • By following our Self module, Isabelle will learn to know herself better, to recognize her blocking points and her stress factors. Isabelle will form her own leadership style that belongs to her alone and make it her own.
  • Then, with the Team module, we will also help her to take a step forward in managing her team and develop good automatisms for managing a healthy and efficient team.
  • Finally, the Organizational module is not an area where Isabelle had any requests. Nevertheless, it will allow her to understand more quickly the system in which she evolves. It will enable her to understand how to work with all the internal and external partners who will have to support her to achieve her objectives. She will understand how to create buy-in for the projects she supports and manages with the various internal committees she participates in but also with the operational managerial levels. She will get to be familiar with modern working methods of performance and project management to create transparency, increase problem detection and help solve problems.
  • Between each module, we will assist her in the field at her request and give her practical support and integrate the different tools by taking action. We will help her to think, structure and act when the impact will be most important for her and her team and will remain at her disposal as long as necessary to make a difference.
